A couple highlights of the weekend. Today Helensvale Lions celebrated 40 years of dedicated service to our local community. Stewart Proud is the last of the founding members in the club and over the years he has seen many changes to our district.

Gold Coast Small Business Expo is on today with over 300 exhibitors at the Coomera Sports Centre until 3:30 pm. The variety of businesses is just immense, pretty much anything you can think of or never thought of is there! Also at the Expo, Bus Stop (Brisbane Based Company) showcased the first all electric coach in Queensland. The coach has a range of 500km and takes 5 hours to charge.

Congratulations Upper Coomera Lions Club on another successful year. Lance was re elected as Club President for another year. Upper Coomera Lions is a small club but they are very proactive in fundraising for local and National initiatives.
