Mayor Luke Smith UpdateAs we head toward the peak of the flooding ... some photos to give you an idea of the level of devastation facing many Logan and Gold Coast residents. The BP Service Centre at Exit 38 is completely cut off (many of you would know how high this sit above the ground). Beenleigh RSLIn all my years. I have never seen water come up this high at the Beenleigh RSL. The result of close to a metre of rain. |

Oxenford Pony ClubThe Coomera River looking down stream from the Oxenford Pony Club. The river has reclaimed a good 15 metres of land. |

TMR InspectionThe river bank all the way from the Oxenford Pony to the John Muntz Bridge has been washed away. The Oxenford Pony has lost about 15 metres of land to the Coomera River. Engineers are at the bridge inspecting the roadway that leads to the bridge. The picture shows a TMR officer standing where the river bank once was. |
