Tamborine Oxenford Road and Michigan Drive Intersection The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be undertaking surveying works as part of the Tamborine–Oxenford Road and Michigan Drive intersection upgrade project.

Due to the continuing wet weather, roadwork crews are trying to keep up with road maintenance (fixing potholes etc). My office has been in contact with Transport Main Roads to attend to large pothole forming at the intersection of Maudsland Road and Gaven Arterial Road.

Beaudesert–Nerang Road and Oxenford–Coomera Gorge Road (Maudsland Road) at Mount Nathan. $4.9 million has been committed to upgrade the intersection of Beaudesert–Nerang Road and Oxenford–Coomera Gorge Road (Maudsland Road) at Mount Nathan after years of lobbying by the community.

The Department of Main Roads has forwarded my office information about upcoming geotechnical works (Soil sampling and service utility investigations). Main roads will be letterbox dropping 270 houses immediately adjacent to the Coomera Connector Stage 1 Central corridor – between Helensvale Road and Smith Street Motorway.

Wet day hitting the pavement updating residents on the latest correspondence from the Minister for Main Roads about Charlies Crossing intersection. Main roads will be implementing a turn right lane into Charlies Crossing and a solution to the car parking situation. Unfortunately, there is no mention of any safety upgrade for motorists turning right out of Charlies Crossing. I've emailed main roads seeking a meeting to keep pushing this issue.
