On a wet day like today, there is no better place to visit than the Helensvale Senior Citizens Hall. I was on tea serving duty, to which I failed terribly. I talked too much, and the lineup kept getting longer. 🙄 The Senior Citizens have game days on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am to noon.

Today’s wet weather couldn’t dampen the ANZAC spirit, as thousands of locals attended ceremonies at Helensvale, Maudsland and Upper Coomera. Thank you, North Gold Coast RSL Sub-Branch Inc. for your tireless efforts in helping local s veterans and hosting both Helensvale Dawn Service and Upper Coomera Late Morning Service.

Thank you Rotary Club of Coomera Valley for once against hosting the Upper Coomera 9:00 am ANZAC Day service. It was heartwarming to see some many students attend.

Sunday Night wrap-up (Parliament Last week). Last week in parliament, we had a big win on changing laws around sunset clauses and buying land off the plan. Hopefully, the legislation will be tabled at the next parliamentary sitting. We (myself, affected families, and local reporter Keith Woods) have been pushing for changes to legislation to make it fair for buyers and developers.
