It was a busy morning for the Oxenford Men's Shed Inc at today's Oxenford Bunnings BBQ Sausage Sizzle. We must have been close to setting a new record for sausage-on-bread sales. Followed by a few hours hitting the pavement letterbox dropping and a busy afternoon community roadside.

The is open on Saturdays from 8 am to noon at The Meeting Place: Oxenford/Coomera Community Youth Centre. All funds raised by the cafe go directly to the Northern Gold Coast Community Care Program, helping to distribute food boxes and provide free counselling support to those in need. Your coffee and cake make a difference!

This morning, I joined our Indian Community Of Gold Coast with Sam O'Connor MP, John-Paul Langbroek, Rob Molhoek MP, Cr Brooke Patterson and Councillor Joe Wilkinson to celebrate 78 years of Indian independence. Thank you, ICGC 🙌 I spent most of the afternoon walking the pavement, updating residents about the future of Maudsland ANZAC Dawn Service. Thank you to the many residents up for a chat.

First up this morning was Vale Breakfast at Helensvale State High School with Naomi Fowler, Division 2, Gold Coast. Naomi updated the school on local projects affecting the area.
