To cap off Volunteer week, Crimestoppers is hosting an information booth at Westfield Helensvale till 5pm. Near Target.

Scott ran a very successful cafe at Upper Coomera Village Shopping Centre. He became a local celebrity in the area for making a great coffee and was always up for a good chat. Scott sold the business and now is retired. Scott is going to volunteer his time and help Northern Gold Coast Rotaract with their Cafe at the Oxenford & Coomera Community Youth Centre on Saturdays 9:00am till 12:00 noon.

National Volunteer Week 16th - 22nd May. This is a week we say thank you to all our volunteers and we have a lot of them! Tonight I’m at a Lions meeting, last night I was at a Rotary meeting. Two of the service clubs in our area.

A photo taken today upstream from the John Muntz Bridge. Last weeks rain event caused another 1 to 2 metres of riverbank to collapse as the river continues to move in north west direction through the Oxenford .Pony grounds. I recently asked a question to the Minister for Main Roads about protecting the John Muntz Bridge from future erosion. I referenced a recent article in the Gold Coast Bulletin
