ANZAC Day commemoration services
On 25 April we honour all the men and women who have participated in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations around the world.
ANZAC Day services will be held in the following locations across the Gold Coast. Please contact your local RSL branch for more information.
Beenleigh Dawn Service 5.30am & Commemotive Service 11am
Dawn services starts at 5:30am sharp at the Beenleig Memorial, Crete St Beenleigh and the Commemorative Service will be held at the same location at 11am.
Burleigh Heads Dawn Service 4.15am
Arrive at 4.15am at War Memorial Park, Burleigh Heads Cenotaph, corner of Connor Street and Gold Coast Highway for a 4.28am service (short march from newsagent at Connor Street to Cenotaph).
Burleigh Heads Citizens Service 9.30am
March assembles at 9.15am, corner of West Street and James Street, Burleigh Heads. March commences at 9.30am down to War Memorial Park, Burleigh Heads Cenotaph, corner of Connor Street and Gold Coast Highway. The service will commence at approximately 10am.

Coolangatta/Tweed Heads Dawn Service 5.45am
Assemble on the pathway behind Chris Cunningham Park, Tweed Heads at 5.45am with the march off at 5.55am. Those veterans who wish to be seated for the service are asked to form up at the front of the march (250 chairs available for veterans).
A gunfire breakfast will be available from Twin Towns Services Club after the Dawn Service. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance from the Tweed Heads & Coolangatta RSL Sub Branch Office.
After the dawn breakfast, a short service will be held at the Tweed Heads South Cemetery followed by Tweed Heads Cemetery. A bus for those who wish to attend will be provided, departing at 8.15am from the main entrance of Twin Towns Services Club to the cemeteries.
Wreath laying service – Queensland 6.30am
A short, wreath laying service will be held in Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta at 6.30am.
Coolangatta/Tweed Heads Citizens Service 10.30am
(Please note - New march route for 2016)
Assemble in Jack Evans Boat Harbour, Tweed Heads (corner of Boundary and Coral Streets) from 10am. Children’s parade will march at 10.25am (next to the children’s playground).
The main parade will march off at 10.35am from Jack Evans Boat Harbour, Boundary Street, along Wharf Street to the War Memorial in Chris Cunningham Park, where the service will be held at approximately 11am.

Currumbin RSL Dawn Service 5am
A shuttle service to commence at 3:30am from Currumbin RSL, The Pines Shopping Centre, Currumbin Fair Shopping Centre (Currumbin Waters) and the Tugun Community Hall, running continuously until the commencement of the Dawn Service.
After the dawn service, return buses will depart from the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
March assembles at 4.20am at Murraba Street, Currumbin. March commences at 4.35am followed by the dawn service at 5am at Elephant Rock, Currumbin Beach. Gunfire breakfast served at Currumbin RSL from 6.30am (veterans free, other patrons $5).
Currumbin Mid-morning Service 10.55am
March assembles at 10.40am at Winders Park, Duringan Street, Currumbin. March off at 10.55am with the mid-morning service commencing at 11.15am at the Cenotaph at Currumbin RSL.

Mudgeeraba Dawn Service 5am
To be held at the Cenotaph, Elsie Laver Park, Railway Street, Mudgeeraba. Service only (no march) commencing at 5am followed by a gunfire breakfast at Memorial Hall, Railway Street (gold coin donation).
Mudgeeraba Sunset Service 3.30pm
March will commence from the corner of Swan Lane and Railway Street at 3.30pm, proceeding to the Cenotaph at Elsie Laver Park, Railway Street, Mudgeeraba for the service.
Refreshments and a barbecue provided by the Mudgeeraba Lions will be available at the Memorial Hall after the service.

Nerang Dawn Service 4.45am
Held at Nerang RSL Memorial Club, 69 Nerang Street, Nerang. Service only (no march) to commence at 4.45am, followed by a gunfire breakfast at the Nerang RSL.
A holographic video presentation will be shown about the story of the Western Front as told by the Spirit of ANZAC. This is performed by the Nerang State High School students.
Nerang Citizens Service 9.20am
Form up for the march at intersection of Nerang and Lavelle Streets at 9.00am.
March to commence at 9.45am from the intersection of Nerang and Lavelle Streets and conclude at the Cenotaph at approximately 10.20am. The main service will commence at the Cenotaph after the march arrives and will conclude at approximately 11am.
Guests are welcome into the club after the service; please note, dress regulations (displayed at the main entrance of the club) will apply.
Extra seating will be made available and a plan of the march route, road closures and best places to park will be on display at the entrance to the Nerang RSL Club from 5 April 2015.

North Gold Coast RSL (Helensvale) Dawn Service 5.25am
Assembly from 5.10am in Remembrance Park (behind Club Helensvale), 20-28 Discovery Drive, Helensvale with the service commencing at 5.20am. Parking is limited; please use the Helensvale Community Centre parking area. Service only (no march).
Following the service, a 'traditional' breakfast will be served at the club, $10 per person; all welcome.
North Gold Coast RSL (Upper Coomera) Mid-morning Service 10:50am
Service will commence at 10.50am with a veterans' march from the Upper Coomera community centre car park in Abraham Road, Upper Coomera and proceed along the footpath onto the memorial site at the corner of Abraham and Reserve Roads.

Pimpama Ormeau Service 8.30am
An invitation is extended to be part of the special celebrations for the centenary of the battles of the Western Front at the 2016 Ormeau Pimpama ANZAC Day celebrations on 25 April 2016, commencing at 8.30am in the grounds of the Pimpama Living Rivers Uniting Church, Creek Street, Pimpama (Old Pacific Highway).
The day will commence at 8.30am at the Memorial Statue with the ANZAC service, and following it, you can view the memorabilia display, including photos and history of the seven soldiers whose names are dedicated on the Memorial Statue.
Morning tea will be provided and a sausage sizzle will operate until 1pm. ANZAC badges will be available to purchase.

Robina ANZAC DAY Service 9am
March will assemble at 8am in Arbour Lane, Robina Town Centre. March moves off at 8.30am across the road into the Robina Community Centre auditorium, 196 Robina Town Centre Drive.
Service will commence at 9am and will conclude at approximately 10am. Following the service, a morning tea will be provided.

Runaway Bay Dawn Service 5am
Dawn Service will be held at ANZAC Memorial, Runaway Bay RSL Sub Branch Cenotaph, off Lae Drive, Runaway Bay. Arrive at 4.45am for a 5am start. Memorial service only (no march).
To be followed by a gunfire breakfast that will be held at the Seagulls Rugby League Club, $5 per person.
Runaway Bay Citizens Service 9.30am
Citizens Service will be held at ANZAC Memorial, Runaway Bay RSL Sub Branch Cenotaph, off Lae Drive, Runaway Bay. March assembles at 9am at the Junior Rugby League Club on Morala Avenue and departs at 9.30am.
The march will be followed by a 10am service at the ANZAC Memorial at the Runaway Bay sports ground (next to the library).

Southport RSL Dawn Service 5am
Form up in Short Street from 3.30am for a 4.30am march off, proceeding along Short Street to Marine Parade; Marine Parade to the Gold Coast Highway; then to ANZAC Park with Cenotaph Service commencing at 5am.
The Southport Yacht Club will again be providing a Marine Guard of Honour in the Broadwater behind the Cenotaph, with flares on each vessel being ignited in the pre-dawn darkness.
A gunfire breakfast will be served at the Memorial Club from 5.45am, with a gold coin donation for non-service personnel.
From 4am to 6.30am, the following roads will be closed: Short Street, Marine Parade north of Short Street, and the Gold Coast Highway between Nind Street and Ada Bell Way.
Southport RSL Citizens Service 8.30am
Form up in Short Street from 7.30am for an 8.30am march off along Short Street to Marine Parade: Marine Parade to Gold Coast Highway to ANZAC Park, with Cenotaph Service commencing at 9am.
The Southport RSL memorial club will be open to the public at 10am.
From 7am to 11am, the following roads will be closed: Short Street, Marine Parade north of Short Street, and the Gold Coast Highway between Nind Street and Ada Bell Way.
Given the increasing interest in ANZAC Day each year and the recent 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings, crowds are expected to be close to those of last year. If you intend to march in a group for the first time, please advise the RSL Sub Branch so that an allocation may be made for you.

Springbrook Dawn Service 5am
Dawn service will be held at the War Memorial in Centenary Park, corner of Springbrook Road and Carrick Road, Springbrook commencing at 5am. Service only (no march).
Springbrook Citizens Service 10.15 am
March assembles at 10.10 am at the general store on Forestry Road, Springbrook. March commences at 10.15 am and proceeds along Forestry Road, Springbrook Road and Carrick Road to the community hall for a memorial service at the Cenotaph.

Surfers Paradise RSL Dawn Service 5.30am
Fall-in outside the Surfers Paradise RSL on Beach Road at 5.15am to march to The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise Beach (opposite Trickett Street) for the dawn service at 5.30am.
Following the service, a gunfire breakfast will be served at the RSL.
Surfers Paradise RSL March and Civic Service at noon
The noon parade will fall-in on The Esplanade, from Soul to Elkhorn Avenue from 11.30am.
The march will commence at noon and continue along The Esplanade, turn right in Cavil Mall and continue through Surfers Paradise to the Cenotaph in Cavill Park, Cavill Avenue (at rear of Surfers Paradise RSL) for the Civic Service at 12.30pm.

Upper Coomera/Maudsland Dawn Service 5.30am
The dawn service will be conducted at the War Memorial in the gardens of QCWA Hall, 161 Maudsland Road (opposite the Coomera Lodge Hotel).
Arrive from 5am for a 5.30am start. A gunfire breakfast will be provided afterwards by the Helensvale Lions Club.

Upper Coomera Community Service 9am
March will assemble at Coomera School of the Arts, Gawler Place and Siganto Park, Upper Coomera at 8am. The march will commence at 9am and proceed along Reserve Road onto Oxenford-Tamborine Road to the Cenotaph.
A memorial service will be held at the Cenotaph at Charlie's Crossing Road, Upper Coomera at 9.30am. A community barbecue will be held at John Siganto Park, Gawler Place following the service (10.30am). All are welcome.
Oxenford-Tamborine Road between Maudsland Road and Reserve Road will be closed from 9am to 10.30am, with detours in place.
Reserve Road at Oxenford-Tamborine Road to Highland Reserve Roundabout will be closed from 9am to 9.30am.
