Coomera Connector Stage 1 Update

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is writing to advise you that community consultation on the design of the Coomera Connector Stage 1 Central package will run from 4 to 28 March 2024.
The design shows detailed layouts for the eight-kilometre section of the project from Helensvale Road, Helensvale to the Smith Street Motorway, Molendinar. This section includes a predominantly four-metre-wide active transport path for bike riders and pedestrians with links into both Helensvale and Parkwood light rail stations.
Design improvements and changes since the reference design have taken into consideration community feedback received during earlier public consultation in 2020, as well as project planning and on-site technical investigations.
Site investigation works have been underway since early 2023, with further vegetation clearing underway ahead of main construction works starting in early 2024.

Members of the public can provide feedback on the detailed design at the information sessions listed below. The sessions will be held at the following times and locations, with members of the Coomera Connector project team on hand to answer questions:
