Coomera River Catchment Association Inc planted another 1000 plants at today’s Regatta Waters Tree Plant. Over the last seven years, the community has planted 60,000 trees!

A big shout out to the crew from Ginger Indian Gourmet for helping and Naomi Fowler, Division 2, Gold Coast for always coming to the tree plants. Without all our volunteers helping, the tree plants would never happen. Thank-you all

Blue Paws Association Inc. is a charity that raises funds for retired Police Dogs. Many handlers keep the dogs after they retire, but unfortunately, some aren't able to. Therefore, some dogs are fostered out to selected families. The cost of caring for these dogs can be very expensive.

Meet Leroy; he retired from the Police Service three years ago after a distinguished career as a detection dog. Leroy lives with handler Darren, and since his retirement, he has put on a few kilograms and enjoys many well-deserved pats.

Next up, it was time to hit the pavement for a letterbox drop and chat with locals. This was followed by a busy afternoon community roadside.
