Today, we learned the cost of the Premier’s twin jet jaunt: $168,000 for two planes to jet set around the state. It was also interesting to hear the plane manifest was incorrect. CASA legally requires correct manifests for private chartered flights.

From helping residents with flat car batteries to attending school P&C meetings, door knocking, afternoon community roadsides, working with our local councillors to find a solution to the Maudsland Dawn Service and finally checking in with the legends from Guanaba Rural Fire Brigade

Many residents would know the Maudsland ANZAC Day Dawn Service next to the Coomera QCWA hall will not go ahead next year. Many community members have tried to convince the QCWA to reconsider their decision, to no avail

First up, hitting the pavement meeting locals, - researching legislation for a resident, - regular community roadside - P&C meeting, - inspecting Helensvale State School’s new Library, then off to a Rotary Club meeting with guest speaker Kat Cacavas from the Make Ways Foundation. The final job of the day was to write a letter to the Department of Natural Resources about Cliff Bird Park.
